Stittsville Rotarians celebrated their 20th anniversary with a potluck Christmas dinner
Twenty years ago, a group of dedicated individuals formed the Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville and began their first community service projects to help residents of Stittsville and area. Service Above Self remains the motto to this day. In 2024, five work groups carry out projects in the areas of the environment, community, international, indigenous and youth. Fundraisers such as Film Series and Trivia Night fund these efforts.
The Rotary potluck dinner on Dec 10th was a great way to celebrate the club’s successes over the years. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of Paul Harris awards for outstanding community service to Lesley McKay and Russell Mason. Their volunteerism and work with StittsvilleCentral.ca serve to bring local business and community together.
