Our guest speaker, Penny Ealem was accompanied by husband Stuart and spoke about kidneys, their vital functions and how to promote kidney health - drinking water tops the list for healthy kidneys

It was lovely to represent the club and help celebrate their 70^th Charter Anniversary with our friends from RC Willi

Ray reported on the District Assembly and Foundation Grants Seminar

Our club Change Over is Friday 14^th of June - please confirm your attendance – Monday 3rd is our last meeting beforehand.

Accordingly, we have cancelled the meeting due on the 17^thof June.

Due to the AGM at Kooringal on 24^th of June, we will meet in the restaurant for a social night instead.

We have a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle in the Grand Final Eve public holiday and looking to have another Friday in July.

The council has asked us to cook the BBQ on 23/10 for Children’s Week.

On Sunday, 28 April, 24 members, partners and friends gathered at Port Phillip Ferries dock to board the magnificent "Bellarine Express" to Portarlington for lunch at the Portarlington Golf Club.

The lovely Genna drove us to the Golf Club to enjoy a delicious lunch- just ask connoisseur Charlie M. Genna then transported those interested in the local shops, while others continued to enjoy the hospitality and Barry H's jokes and stories. "Onya Bazz." Then another smooth return trip to Docklands. Unanimous vote- a delightful day- and we need more regular "Social Days!"

From low gear leaving Docklands at 5 knots, the Port Phillip Bay crossing at an effortless 32 knots (into a howling headwind) was exhilarating for those who wanted some sea air... Melbourne is just visible in the distance.

A Sunday lunch with a difference...

Portarlington Golf Club excelled at catering Sunday Lunch for Charter Members Barry Hanson and Lavinia, Peter McDermott and Jeanette, and the rest of our group.

An opportunity awaits for you to learn more about Rotary with like-minded people.

The Rotary Leadership Institute is a four part program where you will learn a little more about Rotary, the early history, traditions, the Rotary Foundation, and its relevance in the world today. You will make new friends in an enjoyable environment.

This program is perfect for members who have joined Rotary in the last 12 months and indeed people who may be interested in becoming involved in Rotary activities. We have two programs awaiting your involvement. You may wish to attend a Program to be held on Sunday the 5^th and 19^th of May at Montague School in South Melbourne or you may wish to attend a program to be held in Bendigo on Sunday the 28^th of July.
