Lien Trinh has worked in the public health sector as an eye care professional for over 15 years, and is D9800's inaugural Global Grant scholar. Shortly after finishing her Public Health degree in London, she returned to Australia to work with Indigenous Eye Health (University of Melbourne) and Rotary, who have committed to the elimination of the blinding eye disease, trachoma, from Australia by 2020.
The COVID19 pandemic has both boosted and hindered progress in this space, and Lien will update us on the great work done by the Rotary Districts of Australia so far, and how we might be able to contribute in our own way.
Lien is also the President of the Provisional Club of Rotary Northside.
