The Rotary Club of Walkerton hosted over 120 Rotarians, partners, and Friends of Rotary on March 29th, 2014. President Tammie Gailing was pleased to see the support and response of so many people at this significant event.

A delicious dinner was served by the Legion Branch 102, and Members of the Fundraiding dinner committee had organized a magnificent silent auction table. Walkertonian Joe Rys offered his auctioneer skills to the live auction portion of the nights agenda and sold some really great items. He was ably assisted by Presdient-Elect Trent Heipel who would parade the items so bidders could see what they could get. He did however refuse to "model" the sweater that President Tammie had made.

Present in our audience were some distinguished guests who include District Governor Nominee, Nancy Ottewall and her husband George from Hepworth-Shallow Lake Rotary Club, Past District Govenor Kelly Fotheringham and his wife Sharon from Mildmay Rotary Club, Past District Governor Michael Atkins and his wife Margaret from the Thornmbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club. We also were privileged to have members of the Hanover Rotary Club present since they were the club that sponsored us in 1939. Also present were Rotarians and friends from Clifford, Listowel, Southampton, Kincardine, and Waterloo.  Thank you everyone for your continued support!
