In exchange for today's usual lunch meeting, a number of members and several visitors attended a very interesting and informative presentation and tour at ADFA (Australian Defence Force Academy).

ADFA Commandant, Commodore Peter Leavy, introduced the visit and provided some excellent background on ADFA and the history of the Academy. Insights into the breadth of study and and students at the campus was provided by one of the Army Officer Cadet students.

After an Officers Mess lunch, hosted by both an Army and RAAF officer, rounding out participation from the three Services who utilise ADFA, attendees were taken on a brief minibus tour of the Royal Military College Duntroon. A drive to the top of Mt Pleasant reassured most members of the group that the minibus was an excellent idea! A number of our members noted they had never been up to Mt Pleasant to enjoy the spectacular views of Lake Burley Griffin and surrounding areas.

Special thanks to everyone from ADFA who assisted us through our visit, a truly tri-Service activity. Special thanks to Sergeant Valladares for being our escort on the day and driver, Sergeant Tinney (and thanks for the lift back to the car park for some!). Thank you also to President Desmond for arranging such an informative visit.
