DISTRICT GOVERNOR AT WORK

Rotary District 7770 Governor David Tirard
Assists with our District Grant

David is a long-term close friend of Sunset Rotary.  It was an honor to have him join us (along with wife Susan)
and assist at our Happy Feet District Grant event on September 22nd

Club President Nancy Millette, "New-B" (Newby) and District Governor David Tirard

David took his turn in the "Newby" mascot uniform.
(How did Susan know it was David??  Hmmmm?)

She seems to like David as much as the Sunset Rotary Club Members

We consider David "One of Us!".  He is a true friend and supporter of our Sunset Club!

THANK YOU DAVID AND SUSAN!

LITTLE.   FREE.   LIBRARY.

Sometimes you find good ideas
At other times - -
Good Ideas Find YOU!

Those of you in attendance at our meeting with DG David Tirard at our September 21st meeting will recall that he strongly encouraged us to participate in the Little Free Library program.  He cited various examples of how this could be accomplished.

During our Happy Feet program at the Children's Center on September 22nd, our Club President asked Jody Levitt (Executive Director) about other areas in which our Rotary Club might assist the underserved children which utilize her center.   Jody thought for half a second, then turned and pointed to  -  -  -

WELCOME NEW SUBSCRIBERS

You are receiving this copy of our newsletter because one (or more!) of our members thought you might be interested in knowing the news with you about our Rotary Club.

The Sunset Rotary Club is known as the "fun club"  - - and we are very, very good at that (having fun!).   We are also very proud of Rotary, our local Sunset Club, our members, and the difference we make in our community.  As you review this newsletter, you will see some of the things that we do to make a difference in our community.  We are a small club, closely associated with each other and the organizations we serve.

We will be providing you with additional information on Rotary Service in the near future.  In the meantime, we encourage you to read the items in this newsletter closely to get a better understanding of what we do in our local club.  As a part of Rotary International we are a part of a large international organization with members all over the world.

Rotary is almost everywhere in the world.  The life blood of Rotary is the individual clubs, and there are five local clubs in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Okatie areas.  We like to think our club is the best, of course, but the fact is that one of our local clubs is just right for you.
