How can we help?

Friends,

Many have asked how we as Rotarians and concerned neighbors can help in these uncertain times.  For some us, we are able to serve our community through our work; for others you may be looking for outlets to help.  Here are a few ideas:

1)  Past District Governor Bill Donnelly sent out two messages on Friday about how we as individuals might help our communities.  The first was about buying raw materials and making personal protective equipment for medical staff and first responders.  The second was about assembling food packets for the large area-wide food bank organizations.  If you are interested in either of these opportunities and missed those messages, please e-mail me at Jason@HenbestLawGroup.com, and I will forward the messages to you.

2)  During our e-Meeting on Wednesday (which if you missed it was really quite a fun time, relative to being quarantined!), some folks asked about working with Interfaith.  Jaimee is on the board with them and reached out to their executive director, Kathi Cheeseman, to see how we might help.  You can sign up, even now, to be an official volunteer for them.  Please contact Kathleen.Cheeseman@hackensackmeridian.org to request the volunteer application packet, and then you would be able to complete the training with them by phone.  They have folks who provide transportation to and from medical appointments, who will complete food shopping for folks who cannot get out on their own, and who make calls to folks who are homebound just to see how they are doing.  I am sure there are other ways to help as well.

3)  We are still working in some ideas for our club to develop programs that we might spearhead ourselves.  Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you, and always feel free to reach out to any of your fellow Rotarians with any needs you see and ways we might be able to help.

We Want to Hear About You!
We are looking for club members to do a classification talk.

What is that you ask?

A classification talk is your chance to tell members about yourself and your business.  It shouldn't be a big chore because you should already know all the answers :) How you share information about your profession is up to you!  Relax and enjoy your opportunity to educate your fellow Rotarians about who you are and your vocation.

If you are interested in speaking, contact Abby (abby@mtagllc.com) to schedule a time in our calendar.
