This past Saturday was Pirates Day and once again our club sold snow cones at the annual town event. This year our club has decided to donate all of the proceeds to the hurricane victims in Florida and Texas. We're happy to tell you all that the event was a great success. We will be able to donate an approximate total of $1,200 toward the cause.
We will be contacting the Rotary districts in the affected areas to see what is needed and how we can help. It takes team work, something that our club is never short of to make events such as Pirates Day a success. Also, a big thanks to Eddins Ice for donating 400 pounds of ice and our own club member, Angela, for donating her snow cone machine. We also received a couple of anonymous donations to cover the cost of the syrup and incidental supplies.
