Welcome to our Rotary Club!

ENGAGE LEADERS | EXCHANGE IDEAS | TAKE ACTION

COMMITTEE UPDATES AND DISTRICT NEWS
GOLF COMMITTEE -  Jeff Meyers reported that they are moving forward with Black Hills Children's Home  tournament plans for July 27, 2020.    To ensure the safety of golfers and volunteers on tournament day, we anticipate some changes to accommodate CDC social distancing guidelines.  The committee would welcome some donations of gift cards for the raffle or potential names for Hole Sponsorship.

TRANSITION DINNER -  A committee is working on a date and place for the transition dinner for outgoing President Gene Bilodeau and welcoming new President Dana Foreman.  Stay tuned for more information.

RAFFLE TICKETS - DISTRICT CONFERENCE - Norm Peterson reported that our club raised $1,170 for the Foundation through Raffle Tickets.  Stay tuned to hear about winners in June.

POLIO PLUS UPDATE -  Willis Sutliff commented that Polio cases have increased in the last year, particularly in Pakistan.  Bill Gates is matching Rotary's contribution to fight Polio - $2 for every $1 donated.  Norm noted that our club was 3rd in the district for Polio Plus contributions --averaging $80 per member contribution.  Let's keep up the good work we are doing for eradicating polio.
WHAT IS A ROTARY DISTRICT?
Pat Sutliff asked the Club several questions regarding our District 5610:
What is a Rotary District?
Where is it located?
What does District 5610 do for our Club?

Several members of our Club will be working on tools/information to better inform us about our District 5610.
As our own Doug Lind steps in as District Governor in 2021/2022, Pat and Bruce are co-chairing the District Conference in Fall 2021 and will be looking to our Club for assistance in planning.  Keep a look out!
