SBI is off to a great start this summer -- with the number of visitors and receipts considerably up ($62K) from previous years. Thank you to Jackie, staff and the SBI Board for their dedication and efforts at the park.
SBI received a generous donation from Ms. Kathleen Harrington and will use this donation for several infrastructure and set improvements (detailed in an email to members). SBI has also raised over $18,000 for an all abilities playground and applied for a grant from BH Area Community Foundation.
Sponsoring students at The School of St Jude is very special, not only do you change the student's life but also their family's and the community.  Sponsorship is  at least a three year commitment:  Full sponsorship is $2,640 per year,  Half sponsorship is $1,320 per year, or a one fourth sponsorship is $660 per year.  The sponsorship pays for their uniforms, school supplies, education, transportation to and from school, healthy lunches and snacks.  If you wish to sponsor please send your request to:  American Friends of The School of St Jude, P O Box 3994, Rapid City, SD 57709 and you can pay for the full year, monthly, or quarterly.  We enjoyed a special visit by one of the students who has graduated from the school and will be attending St. Olaf College in Minnesota.  What a delightful young woman and great representation for the school.
