Sergeant Jim opened the meeting at 7pm
Noeline welcomed everyone, including Philip Evans, and Duncan Norris, prospective new member.

KI Bushfir
es - the load of hay to go to KI to help feed the animals is awaiting fuel.
The hay actually left for KI on Saturday. A number of our members were there to see it off.
The Australia Day BBQ went very well and was well atteended, with $399.55 being raised for the Bushfire Appeal.
T-shirts
an email well be sent out to all members with images of potential designs for our new dress t-shirts. Can every member please vote on their preference for design and colour.
New members
2 new members will be inducted at our next meeting on Feb 10th.
Artworx event
Early notice is given of the Artworx Corporate Partner Function
An official welcome will be given to Liz and John Francis (Artworx) and Nici and Nathan (Ray White Real Estate)

1 person to help setup a trestle table
1 person to manage pouring drinks
2 people to manage serving nibbles
2 people to help cleaning up afterwards (includes washing glasses)
All Rotarians are encouraged to support this business, so bring your wallet
Guest Speaker
Janet introduced ouir guest speaker, Philip Evans. who is the Community Fire Safety Officer from the SA Fire Service.
Philip talked about the most common causes of fires in the home, the most common being cooking oil. He talked us through the use of a fire blanket and Smoke alarms, which only have a 10 year life and should be replaced after that.

We will be developing a roster for members to participate in which will include – Rotary information about the projects we support, personal or work stories by members. We are a diverse interesting bunch of people and have much to share.
