Tony asked if anyone else was interested in going to the ROMAC lunch in the Pavilion on the Park on 29th August.
4 members are attending, but if anyone else wants to go, please contact Tony.
Alan Williams - Christmas event
At council meeting it was decided that there would be no Christmas Pageant or Festival on the oval this year. It just can't be done. So we are looking at 3 different things:
- 2 one hour concerts on the oval, 4pm and 7pm, limited to 1000 people each.Ticketing will be done by the Alexandrina council. The gate will be manned by Rotary and manned by volunteers. Attendees to bring their own chairs and refreshments, no food will be provided. The concerts will have a Christmas message, provided by the churches. Music by the Goolwa Concert Band. Cheerleaders and Ukulele Band. For insurance purposes, the concerts will be classed as a Rotary project. To cover cost, entry fee will probably be $5 per family or $2 for an individual, or by gold coin donation.
- Street decoration
- Christmas lights competition.
- The Lions club will be organising their Christmas horse and buggy display.
- Alan said someone will need to do the Risk Management , and the Covid Safe Plan, otherwise we cannot go ahead.
- A meeting will be held next Wednesday to decide if this will go ahead.
Kevin Hales - Noticeboard
A noticeboard to be erected at Middleton, in the breezeway between the minimart and the chemist.
