We need to have a brainstorming session regarding low-cost, high-participation fundraising ideas. Some great suggestions were put forward, and there will be another session at Di's house after the next meeting.
The box trailer has been sold. It would have needed a lot of work to repair.
President Andy and Tony attended a Foundation Lunch at Adelaide Oval celebrating 100 years of Rotary in Adelaide hosted by the Rotary Club of Adelaide. There were some interesting guest speakers and good Fellowship enjoyed by all.

c) Christmas in the Mall is scheduled for December 23rd.
3) Director Public Image and Membership Jan Lawrence
a) The Environment Committee invite Members and their families and friends to a BBQ at Di Keach's farm at a date TBD. It will be a Sunday afternoon. BYO meat and drinks.
b) Brainstorming supper sessions at Di's after the meetings held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Need short- and long-plans for fundraising.
c) The trees on the Reserve at Sweetman/Beach Rd still being pulled up. This is very stressful for Di, Meredith, Jan and Lyn who have worked so hard. Someone was also stealing the mulch (now being stored in a secure location). Tony suggested putting some Neighbourhood Watch signs around. We are going to need to do twice-weekly watering soon.
As there was no guest speaker, a brainstorming session was held and a number of excellent ideas were put forward. Jan then gave us some very interesting September facts. All were reminded that September is Rotary International World Literacy Month and that September 8th is World Literacy Day.
Deb drew President Andy's number in the raffle and he drew the yellow golf ball, claiming the $76 jackpot.
President's Closing Remarks
