The Meeting of 26 March was a welcome to the Rotary Fellowship Group from Virginia USA. Rotarians Sue Totty, Jim Totty, Earline Orndorff, Rachel Dodson, Tod Roberts and Sue Trussell.

Other guests were visiting Rotarians, Past AG Craig Maidment & Fran and PE Kym Goodenough from Strathalbyn, Wendy Lippett from St Peters. Other guest were Tayla Rowett, and various partners. Unfortunately I did not receive the full attendance list. There were a number of member apologies.

President Di welcomed all visiting Rotarians, Guests/partners, Rotarians & Honorary Rotarians.

Di provided an overview of the opening event of our Art & Photographic Exhibition on Friday 23rd of March which was a resounding success.  Now it is ‘all hands-on deck’ for the rest of the Exhibition which closes on Saturday the 7th April.

Rotary Banners were exchanged between the Virginia Rotarians and President Di on behalf of our Rotary Club.

Ron Hann introduced Sue Trotter Rotarian from District 7570 Virginia USA on the District 9520 Fellowship Exchange. She comes from a scenic agricultural region close to the Shanandoah National Park. It is a Dairy Farming region with a growing Wine industry. Autumn is a site to behold.  Their Rotary Club is looking to get 30% women members.  This experience offers opportunities to engage with Australians giving a different perspective. It also offers opportunities to see the native wildlife, Koala & Kangaroo. The group has really enjoyed the exchange experience and the many fine wines of this region

The raffle was won by Todd Roberts USA visiting Rotarian who donated the prize back to the club.

Di closed the meeting and reminded all of the Club Assembly to follow next meeting.
