President's Opening Remarks
President Jan welcomed everyone and acknowledged Birthdays and Anniversaries.
Jan thanked Tamara and Lyn again for their efforts in getting the Christmas Concert 2023 up and running.

Jan thanked all members who stepped up to fill vacant Board positions, particularly newer members Sue Porter and Deb Buckingham for stepping up to fill the vacant positions of Club Administration Services portfolio and Community Services, respectively, since the departure from our Club of IPP Andy Wood and Duncan Norris.

Domestic Violence Phone project:  Rotary Says No to Domestic Violence – good on you members for wearing your T-shirts in Public – getting the message across.  Noeline says thankyou to all of you who have collected mobile phones from family, friends, retirement villages, and beyond.  This week 15 phones were posted to the Rotary Club in Qld who have instigated this project.

RI Regionalisation Pilot project – District 9510 – the 12 Rotary Areas have been reduced to 7 Areas.  From our Area we “lose” Strathalbyn RC to the Adelaide Hills, Murray Bridge, Mobilong and other clubs. We gain in our Area (Area 5) Glenelg, Holdfast Bay, Somerton and Flagstaff Hill clubs.

We want to upgrade our mobile BBQ trailer for a new food van. Mt. Barker, Murray Bridge, Mobilong, Strathalbyn and Stirling are among Clubs that have already done this. The Board approved the continuing investigation into the purchase of a food van that will be suitable in inclement weather, for years to come.
