Kevin then welcomed everyone.

Lucindale CFS sent a letter of thanks for the support we gave them.
2-minute spots
Ron suggested donating a defibrillator to Signal Point after the renovations are completed.
Tony - Shelterbox
Tony received a letter of thanks from Shelterbox giving us a bronze Championship Award.
Kevin - Foreign money
Kevin sent 20kg of foreign money to Sydney.
There is still another 20kg to be sent. The proceeds of this will go to RAM (Rotarians against malaria)
Ron - Noticeboard
The noticeboard has earned us $8000 for the year. Ron banked $2000 this week.
Andy - concert
Andy is a member of the Riverport Singers, who are giving a free concert for half an hour of a capella (unacompanied) singing at the Church of Christ hall at 2pm on Thursday April 29
followed by a short workshop if anyone is interested.
Roger - GAPE
Roger asked everyone involved in GAPE to stand and applaud each other. As Roger said, there were many, many hours of work put into organising and running the event.
Roger particularly thanked Kevin Hales, the members of the GAPE committee (Greg, Wendy, Janet, Andy, Alan, Julie, Duncan and Karen) and Leah from the Council.
We sold $68,800 worth of artwork, which earned us about $17,000. This was about 65% up on 2017/18.
We make money 3 ways;
1) through entrance fees for the artists to enter their artwork, which came to about $14,000
2) from people coming through the door, about $10,000. and
3) The raffle, about $2000 and the Preview, about $2000.
There were a lot 0f expenses, but Roger thought we would set a record over previous art shows with over $30,000.
Early last year we spent about $1,000 upgrading the database to cope with sales and locations. About half way through the art show, there was a hiccup with recording module, which Andy managed to fix. The screens were upgraded, with Kevin laboriously working on those, which cost a bit of money. Because we cancelled the art show last year, we had some costs associated with printing and signage, which were not recoverable. Even with all that, we will still make a record profit. Julie has a huge task in front of her as we are in the midst of processing all the payments to artists. Noeline and Roger have processed half of them. Although Wendy is convalescing, she will still authorise the payments. Julie will then have to enter them into our accounting software.
There will be a thank you night for the sponsors at Bombora on Thursday. We have not yet decided whether to hold the next art show in 2022 or 2023, however Roger will be standing down as chair of the art show committee at the end of this Rotary year. Roger thanked everyone again for such a joyous and successful event, for which we can hold our heads high, it has a reputation as a very good event. Many comments were made that it was a better event than the one in Victor Harbor, even though they made more money.
Defibrillator. A new defibrillator was installed by Alan Williams in the Goolwa Scout Hall on March 30th. Also in attendance were Duncan Norris, and Janet Tapping.
