Thank you to all members for the team effort with the so many things we do.....
A special thank you to Kevin for all the work & effort put in to organise the trailer & stocking raffle.
Kayak Trip - Thank you Alan & Noeline for the organisation re meeting Russell Green (Regency Park Rotary) and Peter Sowden (Walkerville Rotary) who have been traveling by Kayak from Renmark to Goolwa Mouth. Alan Williams arranged access for them at the Scout Hall in North Goolwa for an overnight stay. Noeline & I supplied lunch and enough food for dinner and breakfast. The Time reporter met with us at 3pm and took group photographs and spoke to Russell and Peter about their fund raiser Rotarian Group against Slavery in NE India. RC Goolwa donated $250 for this cause.
Weekend with Rotary Club of Adelaide - Thank you to Roger for organising such good "get togethers", and to all those who contributed to Friday night. My apologies for my absence due to a prior engagement.
Group 4 Meeting - Reminders & discussion re a variety of activities for most of which we have received notification. To note - Victor Harbor bike ride to Broken Hill for conference.
Up and Coming - AGM & Club Assembly on Tuesday 4th December @ 6:30 pm. This will be held at the Alexandrina Community Centre. A meal has been organised @ $10 per head. Please BYO drinks.
Christmas Party - At the Goolwa Hotel - Monday 10th December @ 6:30 pm Please bring $5 Kris Kringle & prize for raffles. "Fun committee" - Karen, Andy, Janet & Wendy.

Members Minutes
Noeline Biermann -
A reminder to everyone to look ahead at the Raffle Roster as each new version comes out. We took a vote from members and the majority preferred to sell tickets in the Mall each Sunday rather than go to the market. Kevin will organise permission to cover this. Roster now shows 2 x 3 hours shifts on Sundays and we need 2 people each shift. This applies to all shifts as the town increases in visitor numbers. It can get quite busy.
Please let me know of any offers of roster entries.
A reminder to ALL members that the AGM is on Tuesday 4th December. I will send out emails asking members to advise their preferences and willingness to accept Board Positions for next Rotary year.
Adelaide Rotary Weekend.
We have received terrific response from Adelaide Club thanking us for our fellowship, support and catering on the Friday bowls night. Our costs for catering on Friday night have been fully covered by Adelaide Rotary Club.
Additionally, it is a long-standing tradition of Adelaide Rotary to contribute to the good work that is being carried by the Rotary Club that has joined with them in a weekend of Rotary Fellowship. We have received a donation of $1000 which is in our bank account.
EFTPOS
The board has approved the club rent a machine from Bendigo Bank at a cost of $30 per month. This will be paid from the project account. The principal purpose is for fundraising. The benefits were highlighted at the Open Garden and now with our own terminal the first use is Raffle Sales. It will also be available for meals with the first opportunity the Christmas Dinner on 10th December.

After adjusting for expenses, the net profit was $3124. Thank you, Di and the team that worked so hard, putting this together. A very successful day.
Money Spinners
A total of $717.80 has been banked for the proceeds from the 2 money spinners in the shopping centre. Thanks Kevin, for emptying them – over 20kg of coins!
Guest speaker - Greg Casson - GSLSC
The GSLSC rooms are part of a master plan for the area at the end of Beach Rd. The rest of the plan is to upgrade the car park and build a new restaurant.
The total cost of the project is around $4m which includes the professional fees and site works as well as the building.
The building also houses the new public toilets.
Our Club is fitting out the First Aid room. Although the final cost has not been determined, the Builder has advised the cost for the First Aid Room fit out included in their offer is $26,500.
The Building items for First Aid Room are Joinery, Air conditioning, foot-bath, hand-basin, floor coverings, etc. The Club has an existing supply of first aid equipment and will determine what other equipment is required to make the First Aid room operational. The Club will advise us formally of the First Aid room fit out cost and our contribution will be required in late February next year as the Project is expected to be completed in March 2019.
The raffle resulted in Alan managing only to draw a white ball .... so the jackpot goes up ! There were no Heads and tails won with total funds being retained by Club.
