President Wendy opened the meeting at 7 PM at the Goolwa Ambulance Training Centre.

Wendy then welcomed everyone.
Happy Birthday wishes to Greg Casson and Duncan Norris.

Guest Speakers needed.
Wendy requested that members try to find interesting guest speakers for our meetings.
If you know anyone who would be interested in speaking, please let Andy know the details and date and he will put it into our meeting program on Club Runner.
To find out what dates are already booked, look on Club Runner, or contact Andy and he will let you know.
 
Jim Davis to organise the Australia Day BBQ. Free sausage and onion sandwiches. Food ordered from Foodland.
 
Di Keach - Alexandrina Council Event award.
The Rotary Club of Goolwq have been awarded the Best Public Event for 2020. Drinks and nibbles at Di's house for all those involved, to celebrate the award.

Di Keach Environment
Di asked for assistance to water plants at Bristow Smith Parking area garden. Karen Mitchell offered Sesol which is welcome.
Di is planting trees around and adding them to our tree project.

Duncan Norris Community
Donation and Foodland Bin donated to Whalers.
$250 to Anglican Church for XMAS Lunch
Uniting Church Stove is now installed.
Karen Mitchell thanked Duncan for all his work.

Profit and Loss Sheet discussed.
Thanks to Jim for work on XMAS stocking Raffle
Jim Davis asked that the donations received from the public be kept separate and used for next year's raffle. Needs to go to the Board Meeting.

Tony McWhinney – International
Committee is working over the next few months to spend to the budget plus the Garage door takings.
Rotary Foundation is usually $100 per members, so $2300. The collection boxes for $2 coins are for personal donations. These can be given to Treasurer and noted on Individual's name.
Noeline Biermann has extra collection boxes.

Karen Mitchell – Membership and Risk Mgt Status
At the moment Karen us unable to fulfill the Risk Mgt role and Greg Casson has picked up this one. The paperwork for the OZ Day BBQ has been completed.
Please note it is illegal not to sign in using a QR code or document and you can be fined if you do not do this.

At request, a run down on status of Helga’s situation was given.

Roger Shelden – GAPE
Communicating with Artists and sponsors. Entries to be finalised by 10th February.
Signal Point has a QR Code for sign in.
Roster Dates – Noeline is managing the roster and appreciates your offers.
27th Feb Hard Close for Entries.
Wed 17th & Thurs 18th March Setup of Signal Point. Needs plenty of physical Strength.
20th March Saturday – Receipt of works All on Board Please plus Extra volunteers.
21st March Sunday – Sorting Art works
22nd & 23rd March – Hanging under advice of Cheryl Ann Brown, Curator.
4 Teams of 4 people requied
24th & 25th Fine Tuning, Recording and Judging
26th Friday Presentation and Previews
4pm – 6pm Invitation only for presentation (Includes Rotarians
6pm – 8.30pm Preview by ticket only 100 tickets plus Rotarians
27th March to 5th April Open to Public. Need Roster filled.
6th April – Must be out from Upstairs.
7th must be out from downstairs by 12 Noon.
 
Roger is on Happy FM promoting the Art Show.
The GAPE committee are considering items such as Ticket costs, Catalogue costs, People’s Choice.
There will need to be discussion about the future of GAPE. Roger offered an open invitation to Rotarians to the GAPE committee meeting. Need to consider a new Committee for the future.
Increased prize money does not seem to have increased the number of Artists.
 
Noeline received a letter of thanks from Roxanne Venner for the Paul Harris Fellowship. She was stunned and humbled.

The District Conference will be held at Westminster School in Marion
The conference dinner will be held at the Convention Centre and will be a celebration of the Centenary of Rotary in Australia. Conference registration and details of guest speakers is on the District 9510 website.
