President Wendy welcomed everyone, including Honorary Rotarians, our new Corporate Partner – Terry Baker from Flowerworx, guest David Baker & Yvette.

Wendy asked that anyone who had not done the 10 Questions for the bulletin, to do them and send them to Secretary Noeline.
Make sure you are reading the bulletin, because Wendy is awarding a prize to the person who can answer 2 questions about the 2 members featured in the bulletin at each meeting.
 
Wendy and Di attended
the Eastern Fleurieu school in Milang last Friday for Science Day, where we presented our environmental Plastic Pollution display. We presented 3 times to different years 2/3, 4/5 & 6/7. Two other schools also attended - Ashbourne & Strathalbyn. This was received with much enthusiasm by the children and was followed by an activity to create, build, or design an attractive bin / waste disposal receptacle.
 
Combined DG (David Jones) meeting with Strathalbyn club.
This will be on Tuesday 22nd September, 6:30 pm for 7:00 start at venue yet to be advised. Please notify your attendance to Secretary Noeline, so we can arrange car-pooling.The Board are required to be there by 5:00 pm, for short reports from the Directors about the club’s plans and progress.
 
Satellite Club update – next committee meeting Saturday 29th
We are about to print a double -sided flyer to create interest in the community.

How long have you been a resident of Goolwa?
Born here, but 50 year gap from about 1943 until returning in 2000.
 
 What is your favourite colour?
Green

Favourite Sport ?
Pistol target shooting and motorcycle long distance riding.
 
What kind of food do you like?
Good food with good wine.

What cartoon character best describes you?
Someone  else might like to make that judgment.

Classical

What was the last book that you read?
The Spirit of the Stone, Maggie Furey

Which 3 people, past or present, would you like to meet?
My grandparents both from my mother’s and father’s sides. 
 
All deceased before I was born. I was the baby of five children of parents that married later in life.
Ten questions for Di
1) Name the towns/suburbs that you have lived in previously?
My closest towns have been Middleton, Ross in Tasmania, Boyup Brook in WA and now living in Goolwa. School in Adelaide.
 
2) How long have you been a resident of Goolwa?
12 years actually in Goolwa.
 
3) What is your favourite colour?
Blue and green.
 
4) Favourite Sport?
Equestrian, water skiing, and several “once-off” adrenaline sports.
 
5) What kind of food do you like?
Fresh vegetables and many of those various goodies that one should avoid overindulging (except chocolate.)
 
6) What cartoon character best describes you?
I haven’t the faintest idea! Maybe someone else can come up with that answer!
 
7) Favourite Movies and TV Program?
Movies -  numerous, those that come to mind are Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Reach for the Sky, Sound of Music, Storm Boy to name but a few.
TV - ABC and SBS , news, documentaries, programmes on nature and the environment.
 
8). Favourite Band/Musician?
A wide range, depending on mood, occasion and company, (from AC-DC to Classical). Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Elton John, van Morrison, Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
Love classical quietly in the background when reading.
 
9) What was the last book that you read?
“Undaunted.”  By Ethnee Holmes A’Court
