Karen Mitchell - Quiz Night

We had a hugely successful Quiz Night at the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club.  In addition to some local groups we were pleased to have teams from the Rotary Club of Strathalbyn (the Quiz Night winners!), and the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor.  We have a few bottles of wine leftover for sale at $15.  These will be brought to the meeting but if you would like some Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc or McLaren Vale Shiraz reserved please let me know ASAP.  Sincere thanks go to President Di, Secretary Noeline, Wendy, Averil and Julie for all their help in organising this event.  A big thank you to Max for doing the computer work.  Thank you also to all Rotarians who donated a wonderful range of items for the auction and raffle.

Chairperson Greg Casson thanks Jeffery Lucy for speaking at our meeting.  Jeffery was the Chairman of ASIC & gave a very interesting talk about the Royal Commission & banking.

The raffle draw resulted in Helga Campbell being unsuccessful in finding the yellow ball.  So the raffle jackpots !!

Fine session & happy dollars followed.

President Di closed the meeting at 8:30pm with the following thought:

Before you assume
       learn the facts

Before you judge
           understand why

     Before you hurt someone
   feel

     Before you speak
        think

The 4 WAY TEST

Remember this motto as it should be what we live by:

Of the things we think, say or do

                Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
