Club Member Harold Soderlund provides Neil McLean's Scout Troup with a presentation on the power of Rotary - both locally and internationally.

Harold Soderlund volunteered to speak to Neil McLean's Scout Group on Wednesday, January 17th, about Rotary.

The talk covered the goals of Rotary in educational projects such as Rotary Youth Exchange, Group Study Exchange, Ambassidorial and Peace scholarships. Rotary's achievement in reducing Polio world wide from 350,000 annually before 1985 to 1300 in 2003 was mentioned as a major accomplishment. Harold and Neil described the work of the Sault North Club's work in the community and world wide. Participation in the Bellevue Park playground equipment was noted as a valuable contribution to the community.

The Scouts are learning about various service organizations in the community and this was an opportunity to inform them about Rotary.
