Highway Cleanup, 
Waterfront Trail Project, 
Garden Boxes,
Club Awards, 
Wilderness Discovery Camp, 
Catch The Ace Raffle 2.0, 
Santa Claus Parade and
Rotary Radio Family Day 2022!

 
1.  The Highway Park Trash October Pickup saw a fine turnout and result organized by Dave Silliman.  Warren Philp seized the group for a photo opportunity at Fisherman' Park, what will be the western extension of the proposed Waterfront Trail improvements.
 
2.   Our Garden Boxes / Beautiful Thunder Bay project is winding down for the season:  overview with pics by lead Mary-Anne Mackett
 
3.   President Jim Madder marvelled at how many citations our Club won in the 5580 Rotary District.  District Governor Keith Brokke came for an area visit last week.
 
4.   Past President Warren Philp is nominated by the City as Team lead on the Waterfront Trail project. This Rotary Community Action Team is in full gear - congrats to Warren!
The Friends of the Grain Elevators are joining in.  PA Rotarian Bill Green had vast experience in this sector did a comprehensive interview – check out their website https://friendsofgrainelevators.org/
 
5.   Director Bob Tomlinson updated the Club on the Wilderness Discovery Camp's very successful season and positive financial outlook.
 
6.   Albert Brulé reminds us to Buy Early Buy Often!  Catch the Ace 2.0 is in Week 3.  The pooled teams have been awfully successful!
 
7.   The Santa Claus Parade has received a thumbs up from the City.  Jim Madder, Warren Philp, Dan Brown (ADG, Nipigon Rotary) are gathering interest and financial commitments.
 
8.   Rotary Radio Family Day:  They're back!  The dynamic team leaders Brian Walmark and Matt Villella presented on their three-stage strategy with new and improved ideas for an even more successful year. Kick off on November 2 this year,  Radio Day is February 22 next year.
