President Hector Dougall welcomed a full crowd and continued his overview of our land acknowledgement meaning with contributions from members speaking from their own hearts.

His worship, Thunder Bay Mayor and proud Rotarian Ken Boshcoff spoke on the state of the city, it's many challenges and ways of dealing with them, with strong emphasis on the many exciting and innovative activities ongoing. One (of many) examples would be the successful mayor's task force on building new homes.

He detailed the "everyday issues" at city hall with it's myriad of demands and costs. Innovation, recycling, energy environment sustainability and the city leadership are all part of the forces coping and largely succeeding. Rotary over 100 plus years continues to make a big contribution.

World Polio Day is October 24th. Members to respond to the challenge of Purple Pinkie Day.
