  President's Report
Well illness and cold weather kept most of you away last Monday but thanks to the hearty 12 who made it. I’m sure the early night was appreciated.

Breaking news this week is that Bob T & Bill C are now sharing a room at Uniting Care Springwood and would love a few visitors (restrictions permitting – ring facility first).

On the mend we have Valda, Margaret, Bronwyn, Pat & Alan, Peter S, Bill C, Carrie, and not to forget Beth - wishes for a quick recovery are sent from us all. Sending our love & best wishes to Deana as she prepares for more surgery this week.

Thursday night saw a group of 9 Rotarians front up at Ronald McDonald House to prepare & serve a scrumptious Greek Meal from the Heart for the resident families.

This week we welcome Lucian from the E Club to speak and pass on some helpful information on the Dementia Clinic that Geoff commenced investigating last year. Once we have some “intel” & ideas it will be progressed as quickly as possible. Therese at The Ori Cafe has offered use of our room (subject to availability) and Kevin has offered transport thru Active Care Network.

Looking forward to a successful first Bunnings and the last of the $2.50 sausages! Great to hear Bunnings have listened to groups and lifted the price to $3.50 commencing 23rd July. Whilst it may not seem a big deal, that little $1 extra will lift our profit by around $200 per BBQ – that’s an extra $2400 we can distribute to our Community.

Take Care everyone and have a great week ahead.

Updated Learning and Development for Club Officers from Rotary International

There are now two learning plans for club presidents: Club President Basics includes courses that help you prepare for the presidents-elect training seminar, and Club President Intermediate includes courses that should be completed before taking office.

The following learning plans have also been updated to incorporate legislation adopted at the 2022 Council of Legislation.
Some courses may not be available until September. Courses that are out of date will be locked until they’re updated, but you will still be able to complete any courses in your learning plans that have not been locked.

You can help other club officers prepare for the year ahead by sharing this email with them. If you have questions or comments, please write to learn@rotary.org.

Sincerely,
Sarah Remijan
