Great to see so many members on Monday night, especially those returning from unwellness, busy life commitments and our two prospective members Ian & Nell, with lots of fellowship & conversations going on.
Thanks to Lucian, District Community Services Chair, for providing some more information on the Dementia Cafe proposal. This is a work in progress and from the interest shown, I’m sure it will come to fruition soon.
Adam passed on his thanks to the team who attended Meals from the Heart.
Bunnings on Saturday produced a “sold out” by 2.15pm and a small but respectable profit. Much customer comment about the price rise – which starts this Saturday – that even at $3.50 it’s cheap and anyway the money is going to good causes so I don’t think we will see a turn down in patronage, in fact we will most likely increase our stock. Thanks to the “team”.
Monday we have Assistant Governor Paul Rogers from Kurrajong/North Richmond Club to pass on information regarding the proposed R I Regionalisation changes , of which our Zone is one of the worldwide trial Zones.
We keep our fingers crossed that the students from Ellison Rd School will be able to participate in their Sports Carnival this coming Friday; although with the recent rain it does look doubtful. Bill B will update us further Monday evening.
