President's Report
Thanks to our guest speaker Phillip for an insight into Habitat for Humanity as a global organisation and for outlining what they are doing here in our local area in response to Fires & Floods. A great pity we had a “missing” lead for computer – projector but the video links are included elsewhere in this edition.
Community Director Bruce outlined the busy few weeks we have coming up assisting two local schools with catering for their Athletics Carnivals, our regular Bunnings, Norman Lindsay parking & BBQ and Springwood Festival. Please, don’t be backward in coming forward to “Volunteer” to assist at these functions and RESPOND to Bruce’s emails.
Your Board will be meeting prior to our regular meeting this week and Directors will then report to the Club.
It is becoming increasingly frustrating advising numbers to The Ori. Surely as responsible adults it’s not asking too much to advise Cheryl BY 5.00PM Sunday of your intention to attend or not. You all have been sent the “A” & “B” lists so if you’re an “A” and not attending advise your apology, and if you’re a “B” advise your attendance.

Jan T, Susan and family extend their thanks to the many members who sent messages or were able to attend, what was a beautiful service, for Bob on Tuesday. It was great to see so many Rotarians from Strathfield Club and past officers/members of our old District 9690 in attendance. A great Rotarian & Humanitarian who will be missed by all who knew him.
Heart warming to hear of Bill C’s birthday celebration and his piano playing sessions, Valda’s recovery and our thoughts & best wishes for speedy recoveries are with Geoff & Deana.

Rotary Leadership Institute Course Offerings
President Norm  encourage members to sign up for the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) now, at the start of this new Rotary year.
The course offers a relevant, valuable learning and professional development opportunity! Designed for Rotarians of all experience levels but with at least 12 months of Rotary membership under their belt, it is a chance to give your clubs a shot in the arm to boost confidence and enthusiasm. Imagine what’s possible……! See the RLI brochure attached.
The RLI course is offered Face to Face and Online (via Zoom) and will be conducted as a compact weekend course. Each course will commence with an introductory session on Friday night and continue over Saturday and Sunday, power-packed to enhance each participant’s Rotary knowledge and leadership skills which can be used in their Rotary life straight away.  This is not an introduction to Rotary rather, it is a course for those new to the roles or with potential for President, Executive and Board positions, or Assistant Governor. Who do you know that would benefit?
Led by experienced facilitators, graduates have described RLI as ‘the best Rotary training’ and ‘RLI opens up a host of Rotary ideas and opportunities I never knew about!’
