Another very successful DCaf meeting occurred on the last Tuesday 10th March. Lucian Keegal again attended the meeting and his input on the day was invaluable. Valda did a great job in running the meeting which all enjoyed on the day. There was a significant increase in the number thatv attended this DCaf. Once again, this was due to the efforts of Valda Bray so congratulations to Valda for superbly taking on another task for our Club.
As usual on the first Friday of the month, being the 6th of March, Deborah and I attended the ORI Hotel to conduct the meat tray raffle which the Hotel management donates for the Club. Once again attendance was somewhat low due to the weather but the regular patrons were their usual generous selves, and after the raffle was drawn, the Club had about $340 profit. The big plus for the night was that after Jerome's briefing at the previous meeting the new Square worked magnificently and made our task much smoother and efficient. A good night overall.

7. YOUTH EXPO 2026
Youth Expo 2026 will be held during NSW Youth Week in April. The Lower Mountains Expo will be at Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub Springwood on Friday 17 April from 4.30 - 6.30pm. This is the final Friday of the Autumn school holidays.
The Expo is designed to showcase local services, clubs and groups that are open to young people aged 12 - 18. The target demographic for the Expo is parents/carers with children in Years 6 - 8. It seeks to provide early understanding of local support and recreational organisations for 12 - 18s.
As with the 2025 Expo, it will include:-
- Interactive stalls to showcase local services, groups and clubs.- Free food- Pop up performances from local groups.
- The Lower Mountains Expo will also be followed by ECHO - a youth music showcase in the Hub Theatre from 6.30 - 8.30pm.
- Second sausage sizzle
A Public Forum on Protecting Your Finances will also be held at the Hub at Springwood in Room 1 on Monday 15 June, 9:30am for a 10am start to 12pm
