Türkiye and Syria Earthquakes Emergency Update - Aid has arrived in Türkiye

ShelterBox aid has arrived in Türkiye. Hundreds of tents have arrived in country on a free flight provided by Turkish Airlines from Panama – where we had stock pre-positioned.
We also have stocks of tents and household items, such as blankets and mattresses, en route to one of our existing and well trusted partners in northern Syria. Distribution of warm winter clothing to affected children in northern Syria has begun through another existing partner.
Additional ShelterBox response team members have arrived in Gaziantep, where a humanitarian hub has been set up.  Having an extra team on the ground means we can be more agile and work more closely with partners as we  to scale up our response.
Our response will focus on where the need is greatest across Syria and Türkiye
  • Through the provision of emergency tents, helping people to shelter from the winter weather
  • The provision of essential aid items like warm blankets and solar lights
  • The provision of warm children's clothing in northern Syria
Thank you so much if you have already donated to our emergency appeal. Your generosity is the reason we can respond so quickly and get aid to those who need it most. Your support is incredibly powerful.
The response from our supporters has been amazing, but the need is great!

We hope you are settling into 2023 with hope and anticipation.

Have you had an opportunity to watch any of our documentaries? These illuminating short films feature our investigative and rescue work in different parts of Asia. Our team has been highlighting one each week, but they are all available to watch through this link.

Today, we are highlighting Operation Phantom.

Due to the mature subject matter, this film may not be suitable for children under 16.

OPERATION PHANTOM

The Philippines yields Destiny Rescue’s most prolific raid rescue results. Operation Phantom brings together Government Special Forces, Anti-Human Trafficking Police and Destiny Rescue agents in the country's largest, most dangerous and most daring operation.

A compound operated and defended by an armed human trafficking cartel is holding up to 150 women and children against their will. Here they are sold for sex within squalid conditions.

Destiny Rescue agents have infiltrated the cartel, built the case and must now join the operation to bring this establishment down. Agents face the prospect of a live-fire situation and reflect upon this new level of danger. They consider all they must do to prepare and just how far they might go
to rescue the precious young lives held as sex slaves.

Until all are free,
