Greetings from Charlieville, Qld. (Thursday night)
Thanks everyone for making last Monday such a fun filled night of fellowship.
Was great to welcome back Chris and first welcome to David & Barbara as prospective members.
Thanks also to Chris for updating us and bringing along a sample Locked Box for the defibs. Further news to hand today is that he has also secured an even better discount which will bring the project in "under budget" which allows us to further investigate the single use unit for our BBQ trailer.
My thanks go to Deana who along with Chris have undertaken to follow up the suitable sites for placement of the units.
Be kind to PE Frank.

Community Service
A relatively quiet week for us due to the cancellation of the event we had been planning for Faulconbridge PS Mothers’ Day.
I have emailed all to request volunteers for the next Bunnings BBQ which takes place on Saturday 20 May 23. Please let me know your availability and preferences for this event.
I have also included below a ‘thank you’ from the Ellison PS P&C President. Messages such as this make our efforts worthwhile and validate our support to our local community.
Thank you for your generous donation to Ellison P&C - It is very much appreciated and we are grateful for the support of yourselves and Springwood Rotary Club.
Please pass on our thanks to your Committee and volunteers.
Kind Regards
Katrina G
President
The next Dementia Café is scheduled for Tuesday 23 May and Geoffrey would like one female volunteer to balance the 3 males currently on the roster. If you think you can help please contact Geoffrey and discuss your wishes with him. He advises that some training is necessary and this is available through the internet, the details of which he will pass on to you.
The next round of DCaf for June through August will need another 'set' of volunteers. The first is June 6th so if you are available for any of the fortnightly events please contact Geoffrey and let him know as soon as possible.
Regarding the TAFE lunch at Wentworth Falls on May 23rd, at 12 noon, some people have indicated to me that they will be coming, but if you would respond via email (Click here) it will jog this old brain!!!!
For those who are new to our club, we have, over the last 5 years or more, supported the Hospitality school at Wentworth Falls TAFE, where we attend a luncheon put on by the students, and we are the diners. It is always a wonderful experience, some times better than others, but a good community service to help our young people achieve experience in their field.
Once more the cost is $34.00 payable by card on the day.
I realise many are working, or away, or have other commitments, but for those who are able to join in, I’m sure it will be another fun outing.
Please let me know if you are able to attend.
