05 Dec 2024 Project Blue Light Dec 05, 2024 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM Officers and members of the Feasterville Business Association will join with community leaders, government officials and clergy at the FBA 24^th Annual Project Blue Light Holiday Tree Lighting. The ceremony will pay tribute to the memory of fallen police officers during the holiday period. The public is invited to take a moment of silence for these heroes and in support of the families they left behind. Project Blue Light was started in 1989 by Dolly Craig to honor the memory of her late son-in-law, Philadelphia Police Offices Daniel Gleason, killed in the line of duty in 1986. Several years ago, Craig sent her holiday blue light message to Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (COPS) saying she was placing two blue lights in her window during the holiday season, one in memory of Gleason and one remembering his wife, Pam who was killed in an automobile accident in 1988. Craig is now deceased, but her idea is her legacy. Since Mrs. Criag’s initial efforts, many communities across the US and particularly here in Bucks County have begun their own programs. Join us at our Annual Project Blue Light Tree Lighting ceremony at the Lower Southampton Police Station located at 1500 Desire Ave., Feasterville, PA. on Thursday December 5^th at 6:30 pm.
