Apologies for not getting this report out earlier.................

This was a very special night in the history of our Rotary Club where we invited local businesses to nominate one of their employees who they thought was a worthy recipient of this award...............
Left to right:
Emily Palmer, (recipient) Trish Bowen principal Waratah Public School
Darren Woodhouse, (recipient) Dana Fuller (nominator-rear) Callaghan Waratah Campus
Helen Ellis nominator, Calvary Mater Hospital, Kim Rossi, Margaret Bottrill (recipients)
Harold Vaisey (recipient) Waratah Police, Michael Gorman (nominator-rear)

Rotarian Madeleine Atkins conducted the night on behalf of Vocational Service Director, Doug Tudor.

Many of the members participated in the evening giving talks on The history of The Pride of Workmanship Awards, about Rotary and what it stands for, information about Waratah Club, it's history, achievements, team spirit, and community service.

We had a very pleasant meal followed then by the acknowledgments of the recipients of the awards and then they were presented with their certificates and and information pack about Rotary,  including the presentation of the booklet "Humanity in Motion Down Under" by President Fred.

Even though it was a busy night Madeleine kept the programme on time and we were finished by 8.00 pm. Well done Madeleine! Another enjoyable night giving something back to the community. It is very heartening to know that we have such wonderful & skilled young people in our immediate area. Looking forward to the next year's Pride of Workmanship Awards!
