We will be meeting at the Dock Library in Docklands for our monthly general meeting starting at 10:30 a.m. sharp. The doors will be open from 10 a.m.
Our speaker is John Howell, a retired engineer who was inspired to take up historical research and become an author after becoming fascinated by a snippet in Les Carlyon’s book Gallipoli. The snippet that launched John’s new career related to The Only Woman at Gallipoli, which became the title of his first book. John will intrigue us with the true story of the woman who appeared at Gallipoli in November 1915, laid a wreath on a grave and then disappeared.
Please don't forget to bring (and wear!) your member name badge.
Lunch after the meeting is at Tap 831. RSVP ASAP to Julie Cookson via email to ja.cookson@hotmail.com should you be intending to come to lunch.
