City of Shelton, Police Chief, Darrin Moody speaks with
Mason County Association of Realtors

Chief Moody joins MCAR at their June General Membership luncheon to discuss how they can best safeguard themselves when showing vacant homes and land.

Chief Moody also shared that our community experiences mostly crimes against property and it has been a number of years without any offenses that involve homicide, but that we continue to struggle with activities that go along with our homeless population as well as those that live at or below the poverty level.

He further suggested that we might promote "Neighborhood Watch" organizations, as neighborhoods that form such groups, show far fewer activities that result in police intervention.

He also advised Realtors to save the Non Emergency Dispatch number
360-426-4441 for reporting any suspicious activity that they may witness.
