Jenny found an article that exemplifies the discussion of violence interventions being done in schools and businesses that Dr. Maduro talked about at the last meeting and will talk about at our next meeting. It is an insightful read that shows people are trying to end school violence.
This meeting will deviate from our normal meeting spot. We will be watching Hotel Rwanda at Jenny's house and also have dinner. Our Rotary Scholar, Jean Paul, will attend this meeting as well, and he will answer questions as he lived through the genocide and wants to return to Rwanda one day to improve the situation there.
Also Jean Paul needs a ride to and from this event; he lives at USD. Please contact Jenny.

The SDSU Roteract Group came to our January 9 meeting, and told us about their mentor program. The mentorship program is designed to match Rotaract students from a wide variety of majors and career pursuits to someone in a similar field in Rotary. These students are looking for guidance on internships, career advice and planning, networking, resume building, and how to incorporate service and Rotary into their life. The time commitment is just 2 hrs a month and this program has the power to change lives!
We're so happy that you're interested in our club and want you to have all the latest details of our upcoming events!
