ANNOUNCEMENTS
Feeding San Diego
Jenny thanks all for you for coming to Feed America service project today. Heba and Rukaia really enjoyed meeting all of us. They especially liked all of her 'beautiful girlfriends' but they couldn't stop talking about 'the funny man with the loud voice'. Jenny loves to introduce them to such great role models and show them how they can give back to their community. By the way, they get free meals at their schools, so they were actually preparing some of their own food. Rukaia was smiles all the way home - definitely a budding Rotarian. Jenny hopes we can do more projects with them.  After a stop at Starbucks, they all agreed: 'Best day ever!'

Polio
Mark wanted to share this picture with the club.
This image was captured in 2010, somewhere in the country of India, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Senior Epidemiologist, Susan Chu, Ph.D., and depicts a young child standing in a doorway, who with the encouragement of an adult, was displaying the indelibly-inked purple tip of his left pinkie finger, indicating that he’d received his required dosage of oral polio vaccine.
2019 District Training Assembly March 30
The 2019 District Training Assembly is March 30, 2019. We need two of our next rotary year's Rotary board members to sign up to be qualified to apply for District grants. Qualifictaion is decided if we attend the District Grant and GlobalGrant training sessions.

One person signed up, so one more person needs to sign up!

Held only once a year, District Training Assembly offers training for Rotarians including club officers, directors, and committee chairs to help them become more effective club leaders. All club members, especially Red Badgers, are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Come learn club management tips and best practices from other Rotarians at District Training on March 30, 2019 at the Joan Kroc Center for Peace & Justice on the USD campus. Online registration is $30 per person. This is a great opportunity to learn about Rotary and network with other Rotarians. We expect full attendance for each class, so don't miss out. Registration ends on March 29, 2019.

Please email Jenny if interested!
