Filling bags with fresh produce to be later delivered to children in need
Sorting food that has been pulled from grocery store shelves to prevent it from reaching the landfill and instead into the hands of families in need
Repacking bulk product received by Feeding America
Feeding America San Diego helps feed more than 16,000 children, families and seniors in our local community every week! They are always accepting food donations and volunteers are welcome to bring any donations from with them.
Service Project @ Dia De Reyes in Tijuana
San Diego Coastal Rotary invites you to join us for a volunteer project with the Tijuana Rotary Club at their Dia de Reyes (Wise Man) event this Sat, Jan 28th.
The Tijuana Rotary Club has been sponsoring an event for children with disabilities for more than 16 years on Dia de Reyes (Wise Man) for 300 to 400 children. This is a big event in which the children have a great day and they receive toys, blankets, breakfast, rosca de reyes, games, a small zoo for therapy, we also provide free transportation for the children.
We are planning on meeting at approx 7:00 am at the Otay Mesa crossing and walking across the border and members from the Rotary Club of Tijuana will give transportation to the event. Contact Tom B if planning to participate, and he will be in touch with more details.

The Peace Heroes Walk Around the World is a joint initiative between the 21st Century Peace Literacy Foundation and the Dayton, Ohio Peace Museum. For the first time ever, the walk is being held here in San Diego and they're reaching out to us to be a part of it! In addition, they've changed the nature of the walk from a fundraiser to a FREE event! They are promoting Rotary's work in peace and Rotarian Action Group for Peace, and we are hoping for a big Rotary turnout at the event.
You can get involved in a number of ways including: starting your own team, sponsoring a team, donating to the event, or volunteering at the event. Bring all your friends and wear your Rotary t-shirt. This is a great way to promote Rotary and it's goal to foster peace locally and globally, and we hope you can participate!
