Members of the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake will be mulching, weeding and setting up hay bales at Otay Elementary's community garden on Saturday April 27, 2019 as part of a day of work for Rotarians throughout the world. The day, called Rotarians at Work Day, has been set aside in 26 Districts on three continents for all Rotary Clubs to be working in service of their home communities.
Time for a Garden Party!
Members of the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake will be mulching, weeding and setting up hay bales at Otay Elementary's community garden on Saturday April 27, 2019 as part of a day of work for Rotarians throughout the world. The day, called Rotarians at Work Day, has been set aside in 26 Districts on three continents for all Rotary Clubs to be working in service of their home communities. The Chula Vista Eastlake club will help Otay Elementary throw a “Garden Party,” where Rotarians and the school community will spruce up the garden. More than five cubic yards of mulch will be delivered to the school, courtesy of Rotary’s donation for the event. It is estimated that over 70,000 Rotarians will be working on the same day.
Otay Elementary is located at 1651 Albany Ave., Chula Vista, 91911. Members are encouraged to invite friend and family to assist. A lunch and refreshments outing is being planned for the 'after' party.
