Tracy Daughtery, Director of The Freedom Challenge
Human Trafficking

Tracy Daugherty is the Director of Freedom Challenge. She has served in this official role for the last six months, but has been involved with Freedom Challenge from its inception in 2012. Tracy and her husband Dan Daugherty planted a local church in San Marcos called The Fathers House. They have been a part of the San Marcos community and raised their three children in San Marcos over the last 12 years. Freedom Challenge was envisioned by North County local Cathey Anderson whom at the time attended The Fathers House and passed away two years ago. Cathey desired to overcome her fear of heights and in doing so turn it into a Challenge to bring awareness and fundraising to vulnerable women and children trapped in human trafficking. The first Freedom Challenge had 48 female participants who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa. This event raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that directly impacted projects that tackle human trafficking. Since 2012 woman from all over the world have climbed the Rockies, Alps, Everest Base Camp, The Grand Tetons, Machu Picchu Peru, Table Mountain and Estes Park Colorado, telling the untold stories of women and children who have no voice or advocate. Millions of dollars have been raised through this unique organization.

The Freedom Challenge is a movement of passionate women dedicated to freeing oppressed and enslaved women and children around the world. We do this by participating in physical challenges that test out limits, while raising funds and awareness to combat these dark, social injustices and set women and children on the pathway to Freedom. We currently support 55 projects that Prevent, Develop, Rescue and Restore. Find out more at www.thefreedomchallenge.com
