![]() VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DISTRICT SERVICE EVENT: MEALS FOR UKRAINE
The Outreach Program would like to partner with Rotary District 5340 to help send 100,000 meals from San Diego to Ukraine. You may remember that the Distirct had a similar project two years ago during the pandemic when we packaged 10,000 nutritious meals to local families in need. Join us to assemble protein-rich meals during a fun service project with other volunteers. After the event, Convoy of Hope will ship the food to organizations feeding Ukrainian refugees in Eastern Europe. When: Saturday, June 18 at 10am
Where: Torrey Pines Church, 8320 La Jolla Scenic Dr North. There should be plenty of free parking at the event, but carpooling would be best.
Registration: You may register as an individual ($65) or purchase a table of 15 ($1000) for your club. We welcome schools, student groups and Interactors, Rotaractors, but recommend younger volunteers be at least 6 years old and accompanied by a family member. If the 10am event fills, the Outreach Program plans on opening an afternoon event. We expect the morning to fill quickly. Registration Page here
If you cannot make the event, but would like to contribute, you may do so here. We can help support those affected by this conflict, by coming together and sending much-needed aid. If you have more questions, feel free to contact Jenny Parker (jenny@jparkermd.net) from San Diego Coastal Rotary
