We are scheduled to have our Old Bonsall Bridge Cleanup Day in November, Nik (ILACSD) and I (Lyssa Flaharty) coordinated some months ago and have set the following date:
Where: Old Bonsall Bridge (AKA: Historic San Luis Rey Bridge)
Date: Saturday, November 9, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Parking: just down from the Bridge there is a long, wide street shoulder, heading eastbound, on the right hand side. A short walk to the Bridge, but you'll be safely parked.
PLEASE BRING WAIVER FORM (rt-click attached) WITH YOU TO CLEANUP.

Marta would also like to meet with your Board of Directors and Committee Chairs after the regular Club meeting. The ideal length is 40-45 minutes. She is NOT expecting a formal Board Meeting nor presentations (introduction of members is sufficient). -This will be her time getting to know all of you - her purpose is for you to meet and to see how she, as District Governor, can assist your club and help in making your year as President and your club the Best. |

History and culture of Korea

I have recently moved to San Diego; I can provide a talk on the history and culture of Korea, which I have given at many Rotary clubs in the UK. Korea is a rising star on the world stage, and its modern achievements have their roots in its artistic and scientific heritage, which spans thousands of years. I have found that the Korean founding philosophy of 'Hongik Ingan' ('To live for the benefit of all mankind') resonates strongly with the Rotarians I have spoken with, and I believe the talk would be of interest and relevance to your group. If you would like to discuss this in more detail, or propose alternatives, please do let me know. By way of background, I am a volunteer member of the Korean Spirit and Culture project (kscpp.net) and I work at LPL Financial in La Jolla. |
