Qualicum Beach Flying Club Scholarship






Given to a student entering into post-secondary studies or training leading towards studies in aviation. There may be one scholarship for a graduating student from School District #69.


Full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited post-secondary institution, or, accredited or registered flight school.



Applicants must show evidence of:

1. Satisfactory academic achievement.

2. Good citizenship.

3. An interest in aviation. Preference will be given to those planning a career in aviation, but those interested in aviation as a hobby are also eligible.


As defined annually by your school to your Secondary School Counselling Centre.

To be eligible for consideration, every application must include:


1. This scholarship checked off on the District 69 Secondary School’s Scholarship Application form.

2.A letter outlining your academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, community activities, educational and career plans, and any other information explaining why you feel you are a qualified candidate for this scholarship.

Application Form:

Scholarship applications forms are available from District 69 Secondary School counseling offices as of March 1.



Each school in District #69 (Qualicum) will select one applicant and forward this applicant’s package to the Parksville-Qualicum Aero Club. The PQAC will determine the successful recipient.



Recipients of this scholarship will have two years in which to claim the funds upon graduation.


Upon registration at a post-secondary institution the recipient will be required to provide proof of registration to the Sponsor and funds will be transferred to the post-secondary institution or flight school in the recipient’s name.
