Wednesday 8th September is International Literacy Day.
At Rotary Club of Warners Bay, we endeavour to help our local schools enhance their literacy programs.
Through our Books for Schools project, we donate fiction and non-fiction books to our local schools. When a guest speaker comes to visit our club, we donate a book on their behalf to one of our schools.
Our Speak for Peace project encourages students in Stage 3 to research the meaning of positive peace and how it can help in our daily lives as well as around the world. A public speaking competition occurs in conjunction with this project.
