Weekly Club Meeting Report – Feb. 6, 2023
1.Chair – Mitch Zaba
Mitch opened the meeting with an acknowledgement of the Indigenous Peoples of all the lands which we inhabit today. Gilda played the piano and lead us in O Canada.
2.Today’s Speaker
Our speaker today was to be our own George Carlson providing us with an inside look at “The Hidden Covid Pandemic”. George was to present virtually but unfortunately we had technical difficulties and George was unable to present. We all hope to hear from George another time.
3.Birthday and Anniversary Announcements

- Anniversaries – none this week
4.Reports and Announcements
- Gerald ran the 50/50. For the first time in anyone’s memory one member had all 3 tickets – Charles. But 3 strikes Charles was out. The Queen of Hearts is still waiting to be drawn.
- Our chair Mitch announced that the remainder of the meeting could be spent in fellowship and visiting with one another.
5.Attendance: 19 members (of which 6 were by Zoom); 1 Visitor; 1 Guest
Monica Totton brought with her as a guest a co -worker from The Early Learning Centre, Meridee Sayer.
Gary Carlson , of the East View club, visited us via zoom.
