Club Meeting Report - July 7th, 2025
In-person - Delta Hotel - 12:00 Noon
1.Meeting Chair:
President George welcomed everyone to the meeting. (Due to computer glitch, and in spite of a determined effort by Ian Yeates to get it working, we were unable to connect Zoom for the meeting.) President George’s Treaty Recognition reaffirmed our commitment and responsibility for improving relationships between nations and that we should apply the Four-Way Test, striving to Build Goodwill and Better Friendships.
O Canada was led by Gilda Treleaven-Graham and George Carson provided the Blessing/Moment of Contemplation.
George thanked all those who volunteered to assist with the meeting.
2.Speaker Name & Presentation Summary:
Our program today was to be the installation of our new Club President - Russel Hart and his vision for the club going forward. Unfortunately, Russ is ill and could not attend the meeting. We were to also have the installation of the new Board Members. This will now take place at our August 11th meeting. Please mark your calendars to attend this meeting and get Russ’s year off to a good start.
3.Birthday and Anniversary Announcements:
Birthdays: Hauwa Adebayo on July 2nd; Bob Terichow on July 4th; Doug Keam on July 25th and Olisinde (Ben) Adebayo on July 30th.
Anniversaries: Monica Totton - July 4th - 3 years; Russel Hart - July 8th - 25 years; Ernie Richardson - July 20th - 38 years and Stewart Graham - July 21st - 44 years.

Secretary Al Goudie advised our annul dues statements will be out shortly. He advised Club Runner is now in a new format NOVA so our statements will have a new look.
Social Event - Regina Red Sox vs Swift Current ball game July 10th. President George has a few tickets still available. Only $18.00. See you there.
Community Service Opportunity - July 17th serving meals at Soul’s Harbour. 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
1632 Angus Street. A great Rotarian “Service Above Self” opportunity. Social gathering to follow.
Eastview Club’s “Change-Over” party. Sunday July 13th - 5:00 pm Royal Regina Golf Club. Tickets $55.00. Contact: Gail Bradley @pgbradley@sasktel.net.
Annual motor cycle ride. Peter Neufeldt of Eastview Club advised the annual Floyd Manz Memorial motorcycle ride to raise funds for the Ripple Effect in Guatemala will take place Saturday July 12th. They are targeting to raise $15,000.
Annual pancake breakfast - July 30th - pancake breakfast at the start of the Regina Exhibition. A long-standing tradition which has been run by the Industrial Parks Club. Our club and Eastview have taken on the task. You will rub shoulders with the Police Chief and Fire Chief and work side-by-side with many officers and firemen. It is an interesting experience. The first shift is an early start - 4:00 AM - and you should be home around 10:00 AM.
Our club representatives on the committee are: George Carson, Carole Bryant and Monica Totton.
Let’s help them make this a success.

5.Other Newsworthy Items:
Stewart Graham reported he and Gilda attended the last meeting of the Industrial Parks Club held June 25th. He recognized the numerous accomplishments of the Industrial Parks Club over the years, their substantial contributions to many worthwhile causes, and their efforts in promoting Rotary in our City. Stewart extended greetings from the Regina Club to Industrial Parks Club.
President George was thanked for his significant efforts during his time as Club President in promoting Rotary, increasing our club’s participation in community service, and developing a better level of fellowship. From all of us to you George - Thank You!
50/50: Carole Bryant ran today’s draw. Pot $166.50. No winner.
Four Way Test: to close the meeting Doug Keam led us in the Four Way Test.
