“Outstanding Community Group Award” from AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals, South Saskatchewan Branch).
Nominated by the Regina Public Library, in 2022, the Rotary Club of Regina generously supported summer literacy programming in partnership with Regina Public Library. This financial support allowed for pop-up book bins, stocked with books at various reading levels, to be placed at 14 summer day-camp locations. As well, every camper received a book to keep.
This is the second time our Club has received an “Outstanding Community Group” award from the AFP for our philanthropic work - the first was presented in 1915 to then president Ken Thiessen
