Each child, age 5-12, attending the City of Regina Free Children’s Summer Program or PlayEscapes will get to chose a brand new book to take home thanks, in part, to the Rotary Club of Regina’s support of RPL. The anticipated attendance is approximately 2,000 children this summer.
On July 27, 2022 Rotarian Gerald Fiske, Chair, Rotary Community Foundation Inc., presented the final $5,000 cheque for a total three year commitment of $15,000 to the United Way Regina. This investment toward Summer Success will help combat summer reading loss for local children.
United Way Regina’s Summer Success initiative has grown to 31 camps this year! There are 17 with the Regina Public School Divison, 8 with Regina Catholic School Divison, 4 in Moose Jaw, 1 in Swift Current and new this year is first time camp with Standing Buffalo First Nation.
