DG Wayne Jacobsen and his wife Gwen from Neepawa Manitoba visited our club and presented President Russ & Ian Yeates with a certificate of Appreciation in appreciation of the club’s financial contributions to Rotary International (RI).
He enthusiastically reminded us that last year district 5550 was rhe only one in the zone to meet the RI target of 152 new net members & four new clubs. He spoke about the importance of the Polio Plus Foundation and the RI Foundation and the need to focus on new memberships to continue the good work. The DG also encouraged the club to adopt the district action plan with four pillars:
- Adaptability
- Participant engagement
- Increasing impact
- Expanding reach
