This year, the 2018 golf tournament at Tor Hill introduced a new format - all nine holes were par 3,  and you played best ball.  With a shot-gun start, two teams of four played each hole and each golfer had a chance to win $10,000 if they got a hole-in-one.

Doug Alexander's team won the "Fred Wihak Championship Trophy" coming in at two under par.

Although no one won $10,000, the following golfers were closest to the pin:

   Hole #1 - Travis Stinnson
            #2 -  Joanne Merk
            #3 -  Adam Abdulla
            #4 -  Keith Rever
            #5 -  Jordan Johns
            #6 -  Murray Ballman
            #7 -  Kevin Anderson
            #8 -  Brian Hardy
            #9 -  Fran Goudie

In 1919, the first golf day was held at the old RCMP Golf Course (now the Royal Regina). The original trophy is still presented but has been renamed the "Dr. Fred Wihak Championship Trophy".

Thank you to the sponsors of each hole, and the volunteers that organized the tournament.  Participants enjoyed the new format, and ended the day with a "Beef on a Bun" supper.
