International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding, goodwill and peace.

Rotary International, which includes the Rotary Foundation. has accepted challenges well beyond the capabilities of other organizations, such as the END POLIO NOW campaign (Polio Plus) in partnership with UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and the Centres for Disease Control, chaired by Rotary ... with the objective to eradicate the crippling disease "polio" from our planet.  This is a immense under-taking involving tens of thousands of volunteers and hundreds of millions of dollars raised.

Other projects on the world stage include the newly endorsed SHELTER BOX for disaster relief and emergency response, plus the heralded Rotary long and short term International Exchange Programme for high school level graduates.  The Regina Club actively supports multi-year developmental projects, such as the Ripple Effect construction of schools in Guatemala.
