Milk for Britain

In 1941, Britain sent out a call for help. The call was heard and answered by extraordinary Canadians.

As part of the 75th Anniversary of Kin's Milk for Britain Campaign, this documentary was created for use in Canadian curriculum for grades 7-12 by Learnography (formerly Curriculum Services Canada). Kin clubs across Canada raised over $50,000 to fund the making of this documentary that was revealed at the 96th National Convention in Edmonton, Alberta on August 19th, 2016.

There is an accompanying teacher's guide that can be found at kincanada.ca.

In addition to this donation, the Kinsmen have supported community needs to the amount of over $30,000 in 2016. Those needs include high school bursaries in Whitby, Oshawa and Ajax, support for Crimestoppers, Salvation Army Christmas Hampers and several other deserving recipients.

and all of the individual contributors who make this project an annual success

December 20 marks the 43 anniversary of the Oshawa Kinsmen assembling Christmas Hampers for families in need in the Oshawa area.  A lot of work goes into this before the actual day of delivery and many team members contribute to the annual success of this event that enhances the Christmas season for these families.  Meetings, phone calls, personal visits and much concern goes into making the purchase, assembly and delivery of Christmas dinner ingredients, gifts and much more.
